Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. James Clyde, aka "Bud" Bond, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the age of 94. Bud was born in Joplin, Missouri to Charles and Daisy Mae Jackson-Bond on December 30, 1920. He met and married his wife of 70 years, Wanda Stogsdill on August 13, 1945. They relocated to Yakima, Washington in 1951, where he worked at Hanford Nuclear Plant near Kennewick, Washington for 30 years as a painter. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, #24, of Yakima WA. After retirement in 1981, they moved to Jay, Oklahoma where he remained to present time. Together, they raised four children; two daughters Gaye and Janet and two sons Alan and Lyle. He was proud to have raised his grandson Jamie as his own. Bud was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved telling his stories of his time in the service. He served a total of 6 years in the Army. During his time in the service he fought in World War II, and fought on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day under General Patton. His other pleasures included watching Cardinal baseball with his wife, teasing his grandchildren and sitting in the yard on a nice day under a shade tree. Most of all, he loved his family. Bud was a hard worker all of his life, and he instilled his work ethic in his children, grandchildren all the way to his great-grandchildren. He had dogs who he loved as well, and they were a great source of comfort to him during his final days. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Glen, Jack, Pete and twin brother Buck and his sister Lucille. He is survived by his wife Wanda of the home; daughters Janet and Gaye and husband Terry, sons Alan and wife Vickie, and Lyle, his grandchildren Jeff, Ryan, Amanda, Andrew, Rikk, Heather, Erin, Shelley, Tracy and Jamie. Bud was blessed with 15 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. He also survived by his sisters Norma Jean, Dorothy and Betty and his brother Bob. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, December 4, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Bud will be laid to rest in Zena Cemetery.
