Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.....918-253-3222....Cornelius Carl "Bolo" Smith, Jr., Kenwood resident, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 in Grove, OK at the age of 54 years. Bolo was born on August 5, 1960 in Tahlequah, OK to the late Cornelius Carl Smith, Sr. and Betty Jean (Vann) Tagg. He was raised in Kenwood and attended Little Kansas for school. In his early adult years Bolo was the pastor of the Kansas Christian Church. Later he worked in Rogers, AR in a chicken plant and then worked security at Antons. He loved lived and was known for his sense of humor. Bolo enjoyed playing softball, basketball, and watching football especially the Dallas Cowboys but most of all he loved to be around his family especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed. Bolo was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Aaron Smitty Smith and Don Lee Smith; one sister Carla June Smith; one son Carlus Smith; and one niece Timalee Pascual. He is survived by Kathy Powers of the home; four children: Cornelius Smith and his wife Bonnie of Kenwood, OK, Carletha Smith-Caldwell and her husband La'Stevien of Oklahoma City, OK, Joey Smith of Vinita, OK, and Ashley Smith of Vinita, OK; two brothers: Tootie Smith and his wife Terri of Tahlequah, OK, and Galen Smith and his wife Mandy of Salina, OK; three sisters: Gaye Smith of Durango, Mexico, Michelle Smith of Kenwood, OK, and Grata Smith and her husband Ariel Gomez of Kenwood, OK; Step father Charlie Tagg of Kenwood, Oklahoma and aunt/sister Velma Tagg of Kenwood, OK; as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Steeley Baptist Church with Pastor Guy Soldier and Pastor Bill Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow at the Euwasha Cemetery. Visitation will start at 4PM on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the family home's, 4367 CR 487, Salina, OK. Services are entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Family and friends may view the obituary online and send condolences at www.honoringmemories.com Casket bearers will be Jerry Tagg, Tom Ketcher, Choogie Buck, Ike Littledave, Watie Foreman, and Booksie Harlin. Honorary casket bearers will be Shaw Smith, Noel Smith, Grant Sharp, Travis Mouse, Josh Leach, Jessie Youngpuppy, Koy Marble, and Tre Tagg.
