Luginbuel South Grand Lake funeral home Langley, 918-782-4400 .........Carl T. Walker, 78 year old Vinita resident, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017. Carl was born in Tulsa on August 16, 1938 to Thomas Clarence Walker and Hattie Ann (Lacy) Walker. On December 7, 1956 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Mae Jane. They made their home in Pryor for many years before moving to the Ketchum area in 1995. That same year Carl helped the FBI catch cattle rustlers. Carl went to Tulsa University. He worked at ONG then became a trucking owner and operator and cattle farmer. He also owned Pryor Daylight Donut Shop. He was active in the Cattleman's Association and was always present at the Vinita Stockyards. In the late 60's and early 70's he was Superintendent of Osage County School. Survivors include his children: Carla Mae Walker of Vinita, Debbie Ann Huffstutler of Saudi Arabia, Sherry Lee Drummond of Houston, TX, and Kay Lynn Walker Lamb of Pryor, 19 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, and brother Jim Earl Walker. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, 11 am, January 6, 2017 at the First Christian Church of Langley with Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Ketchum Cemetery.
