Carol Speer

Carol Lea Speer, a 72 year old lifetime Bluejacket resident died Friday December 23, 2011 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Miami. Carol was born at home in Bluejacket on April 5, 1939 to Hughie and Juanita Wallace Berry. Carol was raised and received her education graduating from Bluejacket High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to the love of her life and "Honey", Arnold Speer, on May 3, 1957 and together they raised four children. Carol worked at Bluejacket School Cafeteria for several years and also at Eastern State Hospital. She was secretary of the Bluejacket First Assembly of God Sunday School where she was a life long member. She enjoyed working in her Church, quilting, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of the home, Arnold Speer, children, Karen Siler and husband Keith of Miami, Linda Olson and husband Robert of Houston, TX, Gary Speer of Bluejacket, Jeff Speer and wife Cindy of Bluejacket, her mother, Juanita Berry of Bluejacket, three brothers, Delbert Berry of Vinita, Howard Berry of Bluejacket and Rick Berry of Amarillo, TX. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and one sister. Visitation will be held Monday December 26, 2011 at Luginbuel Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 Tuesday December 27 at Bluejacket First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Leonard Stoner officiating. Interment will follow in the Bluejacket Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home, and online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
