Funeral services for Carolin Louise Benson are 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Wann Community Center in Wann, Oklahoma with Pastor Jimmy Harrington officiating. Interment will follow at Ball Cemetery in Childers, Oklahoma. Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday May 29, 2017 at Benjamin Funeral Service. Carolin Louise Benson, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her home in Wann. She was born January 30, 1945 in Nowata to Carril and Marian (Hadley) Huddleston. She is a 1963 graduate of Wann High School. Carolin married the love of her life Bennie Benson on February 9, 1964 in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in the Wann area and lived there since. Carolin loved serving others. She cooked at Bailey's and Shirley's restaurants in Coffeyville, The Copan Truck Stop, as well as The Wann School. She also drove a bus for Wann and Oklahoma Union Schools for 13 years as well as working for Comforting Angels Home Health Care in Coffeyville. Carolin was a very giving person, giving of her time and cooking for anyone that was hungry and needed a meal. She enjoyed camping with her family, sewing, and working in her yard. Most of all she loved caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members. She held a special place in her heart for all of her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Carolin is survived by her husband Bennie of the home; three children, Bryan Benson and his wife Diane Brinkman Benson of South Coffeyville, Tammy Trotter and her husband Rick of Liberty, Kansas, Timmie Benson and his wife Shelly of Wann, Oklahoma; a sister, Helen Bierbrodt and her husband Jerry of Angola, Kansas; eleven grandchildren, Rebecca Henry and her husband Eric, Tyler Benson and his wife Leslie, C.W. Benson, Brett Trotter and his wife Nikki, Tiffany Trotter, Trisha Parrish and her husband Mike, Timberly McCollam and her husband Aubrey, Shawn Benson, Bennie Benson, Ashley Raffensperger, Lindsey Brewster, and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carril and Marian Huddleston. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
