Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555.......... Carolyn Sue Edens, 71, of Vinita passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at a Tulsa hospital after a brave fight with a long illness. She was born Dec. 8, 1943 in Shreveport, LA to Charles Beavers and Eunice Mars Beavers. She married Curtis Edens July 14, 1962 and they have been married 53 yrs. Together they had two children, Curtis Edens, Jr. and Christine Edens. She was bookkeeper and co-owner of Curtis Edens Auto Salvage in Vinita. She was the founder of the Children's Church at Trinity Baptist church in Vinita where she was a devoted Bible School and Children's Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Dupree Baptist Church and loved fishing and playing cards. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Curtis of the home; one son, Curtis Edens Jr. and wife, Michelle of Sand Springs; one daughter, Chris Edens of Nowata; two grandchildren, Shawn Edens and Kyle Edens; one great-grandson, Nikolai Edens; one brother, Jerry Beavers and wife, Kathy of Claremore; two sisters, Linda Pittman and husband, Dale of Owasso and Betty Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eunice Beavers and her youngest sister, Sandy Morgan. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 17 in Fairview Cemetery with George Vaughn officiating.
