Carolyn Nuckolls

Wyandotte, OK - Carolyn "Susie" Nuckolls, 71, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on February 11, 1939 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Dutch and Geraldine (Bearskin) Stovall White. Susie married Jeff Nuckolls on December 28, 1957. She worked for the Miami Indian Health Clinic. Susie enjoyed button collecting and trading, she was an avid quilter and most enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a mentor for many Seneca Cayuga tribal members. Susie was a member of the Friends Church in Wyandotte. Survivors include her husband Jeffie M. Nuckolls, two sons Matt Nuckolls and his wife, Michelle of Wyandotte and Mitchell Nuckolls and Martha Petty of Grove; one daughter Lora Nuckolls of Wyandotte; three grandsons, Justin Wald, Aaron Nuckolls and Joseph Nuckolls; two granddaughters Nikan Cary and husband Micheal, and Amy Nuckolls; one great grandson Landon Cary; three step-granddaughters Holly Hillard, Sarah and Rebecca Siedner; eight sisters, three brothers and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery "Oscar" Nuckolls and daughter Marsha Jane Nuckolls. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, 2010 at Bassett Grove cemetery with Mr. Charlie Diebold officiating. Visitation will be at the family home. Pallbearers will be John Johnson, Travis Bowers, Robert Ellis, Joseph Nuckolls, Aaron Nuckolls, and Justin Wald. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Stovall, Amos Easley and Shawn Stovall.
