Carolyn Ann Phillips, age 78, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Grandwood Assisted Living in Grove, Oklahoma. Carolyn was born on February 7, 1937 in Akron, Ohio. She was the daughter of Sylvester and Miriam (Cook) Ulm. Carolyn graduated from the St. Johns Nursing School in Springfield, Missouri as a Registered Nurse. She was a supervisor for the Newborn Nursery in Tulsa, and worked for 27 years at the Ashley Clinic in Chanute, Kansas. Carolyn was a member of the Red Hat Club in Florida as well as here in Grove. She was also a volunteer at Integris Grove General. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, crafts and just being around people. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Jack of the home, their son Rob Phillips and his wife Sandy of Chanute, Kansas, two grandchildren Eric and Evan Phillips, her brother Jon Ulm, three sisters Sally Thomas, Janice Sayles and Rosemary Mathis. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove with Dr. Richard Dayringer officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest in the Olympus North Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. Friends and family may leave online condolences by viewing her obituary at www.honoringmemories.com.
