Carroll Ray Lemons, 82 year old resident of Miami (Dotyville), died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his home. He was born November 7, 1931 in Ketchum to Louis Herman Lemons and Ruby Juanita (Jackson) Lemons. Carroll was a graduate of Ketchum High School. He married Lyn Nell Williams on October 21, 1950 in Arkansas, she preceded him in death in 2010. Carroll was a very talented machinist, he had worked for the Parson's Ammunition Plant for several years where he developed several patents and taught other machinist on new products and procedures. He later opened his own machine shop and ran it for many years, he could work on most anything, including guns. Carroll enjoyed hunting, crappie fishing and snagged a record 110 pound Spoonbill. He also was an American Legion Baseball Coach at Miami and helped with hunter safety courses. Most of all he loved his children, grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren. The family includes: sons, Fred Lemons and wife Patti, Mike Lemons and wife Ann all of Little Rock, Arkansas; a daughter, Joyce Trujillo and husband Nestor of Miami; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, and wife Lyn Nell. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2337 N Main Street in Miami, with Rev. Dwight Moeller officiating. There will be a visitation at the Church starting at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday before the service.
