Charles Anderson

Grove - Charles H. Anderson, age 90, died on October 29, 2008 at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Charles was born on February 13, 1918 to George William and Cora Mae (Harp) Anderson. Charles was a PFC in the United States Army from February of 1944 until November of 1945. He was united in marriage to Cora Mae Harp. Charles worked for over 20 years for the Kansas Department of Transportation in the maintenance. Charles attended the Hickory Grove Church and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Danny Lee Anderson and Charles Harrison Anderson. Charles is survived by his wife Cora Anderson of the home and two daughters; Peggy Mae Anderson of Independence, Kansas and Lynn Drubble of Herefordshire, England, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Mel Jackson will be conducting the services. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas with full Military Honors. Services have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove, Oklahoma. Friends and family may leave online condolences by viewing obituary at www.honoringmemories.com
