Charles Homer Eaton passed away on February, 9th, 2008 at his home in Vinita, Oklahoma. Charles was born on September 16, 1928 in Salina, Oklahoma to Charley "Dutch" and Mamie "Midge" (Benham) Eaton. He married Wanda Duncan on June 25th, 1949; they made their home in Spavinaw. In his early years Charles delivered minnows for Bill McGimpsey, he then worked at Midwest Carbide for 17 years and was a dairy farmer and rancher until retiring in 1995, when they moved to Vinita. The family includes: his wife Wanda of the home, two sons, Howard Eaton and wife, Joyce of rural Salina, Frank Eaton of Salina, one daughter, Gail Lindbloom and husband Shanon of Vinita, a special friend Marsha Shearhart of Vinita; two grandsons, Shane Eaton of Pryor and Wesley Noblin and wife Rachel of Bernice; one granddaughter, Jaime Hendrickson and husband Robby of rural Salina; two great-grandsons, Will Eaton and Chase Panther; one great-granddaughter, Jordan Noblin; also one brother, Carl Gene Eaton and wife Lucille of Pryor; two sisters, Cresteen McAnally of Pryor, and Geneva Creekkiller and husband Gerald of Langley; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charley "Dutch" Eaton and Mamie "Midge" Eaton. Charles enjoyed drinking coffee at the Highway Café, going to yard sales, and visiting with family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Family Praise Center in Vinita, with Rev. Roger Ortlieb officiating.
