Lifetime resident of Delaware County, Charles "Robert" Jordan, age 69, passed away on May 14, 2013 at his residence in Jay, Oklahoma. Robert was the son of John David and Mary Luella (Niman) Jordan. He was born on October 19, 1943 in the Whitewater area of Delaware County. Robert graduated from Jay High School in 1962. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Wahleah Benge on February 2, 1963. Robert was employed by the State of Oklahoma, operating a dump truck for District #2. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an avid OU Sooner and Dallas Cowboy football fan. Robert was preceded in death by his father, sister Lela Boyd and brother Ralph Franklin. Roberts is survived by his mother Mary Luella Jordan, his wife Wahleah Jordan, son John David Jordan and his wife Davina of Pryor, daughter Kristi Helsel and her husband J.R. of Grove, brother Forrest Jordan and his wife Phyllis of Nebraska, and three sisters Velma Turner of Tulsa, Phyllis Berry and husband Gary of Maryland, and Brenda Burrow and husband Larry of Jay. Robert was blessed with three grandchildren Courtney and Justin Jordan and Jordan Helsel. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Faith Mission Church in Jay, with Pastor Dewitt Teehee officiating. Robert will be laid to rest at Polson Cemetery.
