Charles Arthur McGraw, 81 years old, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at his home in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on April 7, 1936 in Jefferson County, Alabama to Hubert and Bevie (Edwards) McGraw. Charles served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He married Ruth Ann VonSchriltz in Oklahoma City on September 30, 1976, they have lived the last 39 years in Norman. Charles was an independent truck driver, working for many different companies through the years, logging millions of miles over the road. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching western movies, and his grandchildren playing sports. Charles was also a very good mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. His oldest sister Gladys raised him with her children, when his mother passed away when he was only three years old. The family includes; his wife Ruth Ann McGraw of the home; sons, Wesley James and wife Penny of Big Cabin, Melvin James of Big Cabin, Daniel James of Sulphur; grandchildren, Bailey Crawford and husband Jessie, Preston James, Dalton James, Payton James, and J. W. Daggett. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, August 6. 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Shane Culp officiating.
