Charles Arley Moore, 60, a longtime resident of Nowata, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at OSU Regional Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. Charles Arley Moore was born February 7, 1951 in Claremore to Jessie V. (Nichols) Moore and Charles C. Moore. Charles was a hard worker and was always employed. As a teenager, he delivered the Tulsa World and the Nowata Daily Star, also working at the Price Grocery Store. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and was discharged in 1974. Later that year, he and Ouida Ann Morris married and from this union a son was born. Later they divorced. Charles then married twice more both ending in divorce. Charles was employed by the Nowata Fire Department as Assistant Fire Chief, and later he worked for the Nowata Police Department and the Nowata Sheriff's Department. Charles was also employed by Reda Pump in their security department in Bartlesville. Charles moved to Coyle, Oklahoma and was employed by the Logan County Sheriff's office and worked for the Fire Department in Coyle and working for several years for Auto Quip. In the late ninety's moving back to Nowata where he was employed by Benjamin Funeral Service for the past twelve years and was working there at the time of his death. Charles enjoyed being with his family and enjoyed going to Branson, MO. He and his mother made the annual trip one week before his death. Charles is survived by his mother, Jessie Polone; four sisters, Jessie Marie Ramsey of Bartlesville, OK., Karen Sue Boyles, Patricia June Harrison, and Connie Alice Friddle and husband Garrett all of Nowata, Charles' biological son Charles F. Brady and three grandchildren of Tulsa, OK., four nieces, five nephews, three great nephews, and four great nieces; aunts and uncles, Owen and Betty Nichols, Ervin and Jane Nichols, Gene and Arletta Nichols, Richard and Betty Eden, and Rosie Nichols. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles C. Moore, step father, Allen Polone, maternal grandparent and paternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles and three cousins. Charles will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Funeral services for Mr. Moore are 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Living Word Family Center with Jim Winslow and Ben Killion officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery.
