Charles Thomas "Tom" North Obituary Grove, OK - Charles Thomas "Tom" North, 86, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at Integris Grove General Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma. Tom was born August 20, 1920 at Southwest City, Missouri, to James North and Martha Anderson. He married his wife Patricia on September 15, 1969 at Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tom and Patricia had two children, Matthew and Abby. Tom was a man who liked people. He spent most of his life as a self employed entrepreneur and investor. In 1950, he opened the Ford Dealership in Southwest City, Mo. He was a rancher, raising cattle and horses. During his youth he was respected as an exceptional boxer. He was also known for his exceptional memory. Early in his life he was active in the VFW Post in Southwest City, and he always enjoyed drinking coffee at the local café. Survivors include one son, Matthew North and his wife Whitney of Grove, Oklahoma; one daughter, Abby Beal and her husband Randy of Grove, Oklahoma; one brother, Rex Anderson of Claremore, Oklahoma; he is also survived by his former wife Patricia North and his three grandchildren; Joseph Beal, Wrangler Beal and Tehler Beal, all of Grove. He is preceded in death by his parents; his four brothers, Bob North, Bud North, Bill North and Walt North. He is also preceded by his sister, Nellie Mount. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 23, at 11:00 AM at the Southwest City Cemetery, in Southwest City, Missouri. The family will receive friends at a visitation at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove on Thursday evening between 6pm and 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice of Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
