Charles O'Dell

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555, Charles David O'Dell, 71 year old Centralia resident, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1944 in Vinita to Charles N. and Gloria (Wells) O'Dell. Mr. O'Dell graduated from Miami High School. He was a horse and cattle rancher, but had also been a Jockey riding Thoroughbreds all over the US and Mexico. Mr. O'Dell was married to Sandra O'Dell in May of 1975, she preceded him in death in 2013. He enjoyed boxing and was a former boxer, fishing and the horse races. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Aline O'Dell, a brother, Mark O'Dell and his wife. The family includes: his children, Randy Lee O'Dell and wife Julie of California, Tina O'Dell of Tahlequah, Michael O'Dell and wife Marsha of Afton; adopted brother and sister, Art and Brenda Koppelberger; brothers, Gary Wells and Mike Well both of Oologah; sisters, Lisa Yates of Miami, Sandra Lynn Church of Tahlequah, Sara Beth Barnes of Maryland, Sue Carter of Springfield, MO; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating.
