Charles Pennington

Charles "Bill" William Pennington, passed away in Pryor, OK, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the age of 74. Bill was born August 25, 1937 in Kansas City, MO, the son of the late Cecil A. Pennington and Francis (Steele) Hay. He attended school in Evergreen, CO. Bill was a Marine in the United States Military. He married Patti Ham on April 5, 1956. For most of Bill's career he worked for the Painter Union. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the game of football and cooking for his family. He was preceded in death by both parents, and one granddaughter, Lela Pennington. He is survived by four children: Tanya Jury and her husband Mark of Owosso, Mich, Church Pennington of Joplin, MO, Pam Eglian and her husband Jamie of Pryor, OK, Patrick Pennington and his wife Gail of Ravenna, Mich; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren; an aunt Francis Wright of Tulsa, OK; sister JoAnn Rice of Evergreen, CO; and brother Bud Pennington and his wife Sue of Phoenix. The memorial service will be held at the chapel of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2PM with Chaplain Roger Miller, presiding. The burial will be at the Olympus Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
