Charles Warren Roberston, 92 year old, Eucha, Oklahoma resident passed away, Tuesday April 29, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, following a sudden illness. Charles was born on May 9, 1921 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma to Charles Marvin and Roxie (Haggard) Robertson. Charles attended school at Mose Ridge and went on to graduate with a bachelor of science from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He then served his country as a naval aviator in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Charles married Margurite (Cook) on November 2, 1956. He worked as a rancher and farmer, and in construction most of his life. Charles also worked as a social services supervisor at the Department of Human Services, retiring in 1983. He was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and noodling. He also enjoyed many types of hunting, including, deer, chicken duck and quail. Charles loved spending time with friends and family and played dominos and pitch. Charles is survived by his wife Marguerite, sons, Roger Robertson of Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Jack Robertson and wife Pat, of Jay, Oklahoma, daughter Carol Ann White of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sisters, Velma Willhite of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mary Jane Penn of Rockwall, Texas. Charles is also survived by granddaughter, Tammy Cornell and husband Travis, of Jay, Oklahoma, and three great grandchildren Adrianna, Abbey, and Logan. Funeral services for Charles will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Southside Church of Christ in Jay, Oklahoma Brother Steve Stencil will officiate. Interment will follow at Mose-Ridge Cemetery.
