Charles "Wayne" Vaught, 58, a resident of Grove, Oklahoma passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Thursday, May 17, 2007. Mr. Vaught was born in Winchester, VA to Charles E. and Ellen (Haslacker) Vaught. He graduated from Northeastern State University. He was a member of the United States Marines where he earned two Purple Hearts. Wayne was a passionate photographer along with other hobbies which included trains, hunting, horses, camping, traveling, and most of all the Corvette Club that he was the Vice President of. Mr. Vaught was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and worked as a service officer for them also. Survivors include his wife Sherrill Christine (Puffinburger) Vaught of the home, three children Thomas Robert Vaught and his wife Amanda Jo of Stilwell, OK, Charles Christopher Vaught and his wife Ramona of Tulsa, OK, Heather Dawn Evans and her husband Raymond of Twin Oaks, OK, grandchildren Bailey Vaught, Natalie Vaught and Cailin Vaught. Four half brothers; Melvin Belt of Winchester, VA, Harold Belt of Falls Church, VA, Dale Belt, Capon Bridge, VA, Glen Creech of Hawaii along with a sister Carolyn Bowman of Shanks, WV. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove with Pastor Wayne Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Terrell Cemetery in Stilwell, OK. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral Homes chapel on Monday, May 21, 2007. Casketbearers in Grove will be Allen Redd, Bob Suttle, Bob Norman, Frank Pope, Larry Koch, and Gene Woods. Casketbearers in Stilwell will be John Braden, Pete Swepston, Sherman Swepston, Robbie Farmer, Mark Halloway and David McMurtrey.
