Charles Franklin White 73 year old longtime Vinita area resident, died August 2, 2010 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born December 4, 1936 in Bernice to George Franklin and Laura Sybilla (Gerock) White. Charles was a truck mechanic, having worked for Elliott Truck Lines, Mack Truck Sales and Service, Ellsworth Motor Freight, and his own Whites Truck and Auto. He married Marie Weaver on February 12, 1966 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Charles liked to fish for crappie and anything else that was biting at the time. His family includes: his wife Marie of the home, five children, Patricia Gonzales of Vinita, Leonard F. White of Bonaire, Georgia, Vynetta Jennings of Warner-Robins, Georgia, Laura Hicks of Fritch, Texas, Sybilla Campbell-Roberts of Marionville, Missouri; brother, Perry White of Bald Knob, Arkansas; sister, May Coop of Vinita; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Those preceding him in death include; a brother Elmer White, sister Susanna Cates, two great-granddaughters, April Boswell and Rose Aycox. The graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, with Pastor Eddie Wrinkle officiating.
