Chloeta West, age 85, of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011, following an extended illness. Chloeta was born on May 25, 1925 in Hannah, Oklahoma to Sammy and Effie (Tomlinson) Mott. She attended Dustin High School and in her younger years enjoyed riding horses. Chloeta married James West on February 1, 1944 in Reno Nevada. She was a Nurse's Assistant most of her life in both nursing facilities, including Monroe Manor, and in home health. For Chloeta life evolved around church and her family, she was a member for many years of the Jay Community Chapel and above all enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and host of other relatives. She also enjoyed working in her garden growing flowers, as well as canning some of the vegetables she had grown. Chloeta was preceded in death by her husband James, two sons, Bennie Joe and Jack West, a daughter Joyce West, and two brothers Cleo and Herbert Mott. Chloeta is survived by her son, Jim West, of Jay, Oklahoma, brother Clifford Mott of Davis California, sister Loretta Green of Tahachapi, California, 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. Graveside services for Chloeta will be held at Beaty Cemetery in Lincoln, Arkansas at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011, serving as casket bearers will be Steve Sault, Jimmy West Jr. Roy Thomas, Nathan West Jim Thomas, and Terry Goins. Serving as Honorary casket bearers will be Colton and Dakota West. A visitation for Chloeta will be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma.
