Christine Lind

Christine Lind, 83 year old Vinita Resident died Tuesday November 3, 2009 at her home in Vinita. She was born December 21, 1925 in Adair, OK the daughter of Gus Hand and Rosa King Hand. Christine was raised and spent her childhood in the Vinita area attending the Seneca Indian school. She and John Lind were united in marriage in August of 1943 and the family moved around with his job for several years returning to Vinita in 1973 from Tinley Park Illinois. She attended the Baptist Church and was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Surviving Christine are her children, Cathryn and Wil Sauder of Rayville, MO, John W. Lind of Ketchum, OK, Patricia Chatterton of Tucson, AZ and Paul and Jo Beth Lind of Keene, TX, one sister Pauline Hassett of Fort Worth, TX, ten grandchildren and ten great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1987, her parents and two brothers. Graveside services will be Saturday November 7, 2009 at Ghormley Cemetery near Pensacola, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Justin Turner officiating. Online condolences may be left at honoringmemories.com.
