Clara "Winkie" Jean Louis

Clara Jean “Winkie” Louis, 68, of Bartlesville, OK, entered eternal rest on December 25, 2024. Clara, affectionately known as Winkie was born on March 1, 1956, in Bartlesville, OK, to Ethel Nell Gunter-Louis and Paul Ogans.

Clara received her education in Bartlesville, graduating from Bartlesville College High School. While in high school, she was a swimmer. She went on to attend college. Clara was married to Joe Lorenze Johnson.

In her spare time, Clara enjoyed spending time with her family and would do so whenever she could. She enjoyed being outside and nature, often walking barefoot outside and planting flowers and gardening. Clara also loved to travel.

Clara Jean was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, auntie, grandma, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ethel Nell Gunter-Louis and Paul Ogans; her husband: Joe Lorenze Johnson; her siblings: Isreal Martin (Prunie), Eylysess (Joe) Louis, Juanita Gardner, James (Nehemiah) Louis, Ricardo (Knockie) Cunningham, Julia Hailey, and Donnie Ogans.

Those left to cherish the memory of Winkie include her children: Monizur (Jeanie) Nave, Ron (Joe) Louis; her siblings: Michael Louis (Big Mike) of San Antonio, TX, Gwendolyn (Bathshebah) Mitchell of Bartlesville, OK, Otis Towers of Tulsa, OK, Jimmy (Bink) Hailey of Nowata, OK, Bobby Ogans, William Ogans, Paula Jean Ogans, and Karla Ogans; her 11 grandchildren; her 1 great-grandchild, along with a host of many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

A huge thank you to cuzzin Linda and cuzzin Vivian for always being there for Wink.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the chapel at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. A funeral service for Winkie will be held at the chapel at Arnold Moore and Neekamp with Pastor Diggs officiating on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
