Clarence T Faubion, age 45 and long time Vinita resident, died Tuesday January 27, 2009. He was born in Hamilton, Texas to Clarence and Ina (Woolman) Faubion on August 5, 1963. He graduated Bluejacket High School in 1982 and was united in marriage to Cindy Powell in 1995. Clarence worked for the turnpike doing maintenance for 15 years and served in the United States National Guard Company B 279th Infantry here in Vinita for 25 years before becoming disabled while serving overseas in German, Sadia Arabia, Israel, Egypt, Afghanistan, and many more. He was proud to serve for his country. "Hoss","June Bug", or "J.R." as he was sometimes called was a kind hearted and hard working man, willing to help anyone. Besides the love he showed for his family and friends he also loved to hunt, fish, raise beagles, go to auctions and help Roy and Susan Woolman at R&S Processing. Him and his family also enjoyed riding in the grand entry of the Will Rogers Rodeo every year. He was known and loved by many and will be deeply missed. Those preceding him in death include his grandparents Louie and Elvie Woolman, mother Ina, brother Leroy Faubion, sister Betty Tuxthorn, and brother-in-law Jerry Herman. Survivors include his wife Cindy and their three children Larry Lelen, Martianna June, and Sarah Claralynn Faubion, three sisters Avis Baldridge and husband Larry, Babara Nading, and Mary Herman, his lifelong friend Bobby Lee, and fourteen nieces and nephews: Wendy and Megan Myers, Mason Baldridge, Arie Nading, Heather Brewster, Laura, Destany, and Ryan Herman, Bryan McDugle, Lindsay Sanders, Jeffery Johnston, Lance and Mathew Powell and Felicia Ornder. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:00 Saturday January 31, 2009 at Vinita First Baptist Church with Reverend Leo Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at Pheasant Hill Cemetery. A memorial has been established at First National Bank in the names of Marti and Sara Faubion.
