Jay Claud Raymond Keithley Claud Raymond Keithley, 87 year-old Jay resident, died Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Monroe Manor Nursing Center. He was born July 30, 1919 in Green Forrest, Arkansas to Claud and Georgia (Bennett) Keithley. Claud spent his working life as a farmer and rancher, raising beef cattle. He was familiar with hard work, spending his time cutting wood and weed eating his fence rows. Raymond also enjoyed fixing and eating his home-made ice cream. Claud served his country honorably as a Fireman First Class in the United States Navy during World War II. Claud shared his life with his wife Betty of the home for over sixty-seven years, and she survives. He will also be missed by his four children, Virginia Harris and her husband Oliver of Broken Arrow, OK, Betty Hines and her husband Jim of Jay, OK, Jackie Wolfe and her husband Ron of Jay, OK, and Jim Keithley and his wife Shirley of Jay. Claud is also survived by ten grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be Thursday January 18, 2007, at Mount Hermon Church in Jay. Brother James Bryant will officiate. David Harris, Keith Lee Hines, Trent Wolfe, Jimmy Keithley, Jr., Mike Bushyhead, Tim Williamson and Ross Ford will act as pall bearers. Burial will follow immediately at the Mount Hermon Cemetery. Family will receive friends at a visitation at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay on Wednesday from 6pm until 8pm.
