Claudine Woods was born December 15, 1932, in Phelps City, Missouri, to James and Mabel C. (Stoner) Bailey. She passed from this life Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, after reaching 75 years, 1 month, and 27 days. She graduated from High School in Fairfax, Missouri, and on June 11, 1950 she married Don L. Woods in Mound City, Missouri. She worked at the Fairfax Schools as a cook for 19 years. She and Don moved to Nowata in the early 90's and lived here until his death 2 years ago. Claudine enjoyed cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. She loved her family very much and caring for them was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed bird watching (especially cardinals) and would send the best greeting cards. Claudine loved her church and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nowata. She will be missed by all who knew her. Preceding Mrs. Woods in death are her parents, James and Mabel Bailey, and her husband Don L. Woods. Surviving Mrs. Woods are her daughters, Kathy Irvine, and husband Mike, of Stephenville, Texas, and Brenda Sculley, and husband Tom, of Glencoe, Oklahoma; a son, Don L. Woods Jr., and his wife Sherry, of Bartlesville; six grandchildren, Keith Woods, Stephanie Smith, Greg Blackman, Ian Sculley, Dr. Beth Irvin, and Mary Irvin, one great grandson; 3 brothers, James D. Bailey, William Elmer Bailey, and Charles Marion Bailey, many other relatives and a host of friends.
