Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma Clesson Melvin Park, 80, passed away December 13, 2015 at Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center. He was born May 19, 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK to Charles Arthur and Vada Flora (Metcalf) Park. Clesson's family moved to Nowata when he was two years old. He was a graduate of Nowata High School. He married Margaret Joanne Sparks on January 30, 1954 at the Nowata First United Methodist Church. Clesson was owner/operator of the Green Light/NAPA Nowata Auto Parts, retiring in 1997. Clesson began working for his father, at the store, at age 12 and upon retirement, the store passed to his son, Brad. Clesson was a member of the Army National Guard for 12 years; a former member of the Nowata BASS Club and Jaycees and a current member of Cornerstone Community Church. Clesson is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vada Park; his spouse, Margaret Joanne Park. He is survived by two children, Janet Leach of Norman, OK and Brad Park and his wife Colleen of Nowata; a sister, Patricia Shockley of Van Buren, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Andrea Satterlee and husband Daniel of Bixby, OK and Kevin Leach and wife Michelle of Norman, OK; three great-grandchildren, James Satterlee, Maggie Leach, and Adam Leach.
