Clifford Elliott

Clifford Vincent "Cliff" Elliott, 57 year old Ketchum resident, passed away February 14, 2012, leaving behind many acts of kindness and generosity to all who knew him. He was born February 3, 1955 in Vinita to Vincent and Necia (Clingenpeel) Elliott and graduated from Vinita High School in 1973. Cliff attended Oklahoma State and Northeastern State Universities. In 1977, he went to work for the family business and put to use his childhood summers of cleaning out stock trailers. He was dispatcher, shop foreman and trained in handling of Hazardous Materials, before becoming President of Elliott Leasing, Inc. until 2009. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vinita and helped many causes around Grand Lake area, and especially had a fondness for the Disney Fireworks Show. Cliff was preceded in death by his father Vincent Elliott in 2005. Survivors include: his mother, Necia Elliott of Vinita; sister Jan Elliott Lovelace and husband Bo of Claremore; nephew Todd Fimple and wife Rebecca, and their children, Jared, Nathan, and Kelcee Fimple; nieces, Holly Fimple and Trina Fimple Fowler and her husband Bryon and their children, Axyl Langford and Colton Fowler, all of Owasso, OK; numerous cousins and aunts, including his Aunt Micki Weeks of Grove. Cliff was an avid hunter and fisherman, loving animals and the great outdoors. He sometimes would turn down Christmas with the family to share it with someone less fortunate. His great-nephews and nieces will miss "Uncle Cliff" showing up at the cabin with huge boxes of fireworks every 4th of July and all the fun they had at the lake. The funeral service for Cliff will be held Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, with Pastor Wade Markham officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Friends may donate to the Disney Fireworks Display, Attn: Judy Oglesby, P. O. Box 318, Disney, OK 74340, in memory of Cliff.
