Clyde Bentley Buchanan, 70 year old Grove, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday April 2, 2011 following an extended illness. Clyde was born on May 22, 1940 in Topeka, Kansas to Clyde Orell Buchanan and Jeanett Frances (Bentley) Buchanan. He served his country in the United States Air Force. After working for Coca-Cola for a few years, Clyde married Neva Jean Sawvell and together they moved to the Grove area in 1966 where they ran a service station. In the 1970's Clyde and Neva opened M.K.N.C. in Grove. Clyde was an avid fisherman and loved bowling as well as basketball, dominos and even storm chasing. Most of all he loved his family, especially spending time with the grandkids. Clyde is survived by his wife Neva, children, Michael, and wife Julie, and Kim and husband David Hampton, and sister Barbara Easley and husband Bob. Clyde is also survived by six grandchildren, Ben, Kellea, Austin, Case, Taya', and Gage, and several nieces, Renee, Connie, DeeDee, and a nephew, Christopher. Memorial Services for Clyde will be held on Thursday April 7, 2011 at 2p.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Association.
