Clyde Russell "C.R." Miller, 70, resident of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma died Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home. C.R. was born April 27, 1941 in Craig County, Oklahoma son of Russell Raymond "Bob" Miller and Erma Lee (Woodall) Miller. C.R. grew up in Nowata County, graduating from Lenapah High School. C.R. furthered his education, receiving training in auto body repair. Eventually, C.R. made a career as a printer in the newspaper and press industry, working for both the Journal in Coffeyville, KS and for Nowata Publishing Company. He retired from Nowata Publishing in April of 2000. C.R. was a hardworking man and will certainly be remembered, by his family, as a great father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. C.R. loved spending time with his family and was very proud of each and every one of them. He enjoyed: fishing, riding motorcycles with his sons, watching stock car and other races, as well, he was an avid boxing fan. C.R. also enjoyed listening to bluegrass and classic country music. C.R. was very special to his family. His departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, however, his memory and story will continue to be shared for generations to come. C.R. is survived by: 3 children: son, Russell Miller and wife Suzanne of Lake St. Louis, MO; son Chris D. Miller of South Coffeyville, OK and daughter, Carrie Miller of Nashville, TN; 5 grandchildren: Kyle, Cheyenne, Selena, Rachel and Austin; 1 great grandson, Johnny Lee ; a brother, Joe Dwayne Miller and wife Cheryl of Fairbanks, AK; a sister, Doris Lea Stamper and husband, Leon of South Coffeyville, OK; nieces: Debbie and Jody; great nieces: Amber and Lacey; a great nephew, Branden; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends. C.R. was preceded in death by: his parents; grandparents; uncle, Max Miller and nephew, Joe Miller. A graveside service to honor C.R. will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Martin Cemetery in Nowata County. Upon his request, there will be no visitation.
