Cora Christine (Hash) Livingston, 84, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at the Ascension Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK with family at her side.

Cora was born October 14, 1935, in Chelsea, OK, to John Franklin Hash Sr. and Mary “Grace” (Starns) Hash. She came from a large family and was one of the thirteen siblings in the house. She attended the Alluwe and Winganon public school systems. On October 1, 1951, she married the love of her life, Alfred Lee Livingston. They cherished 60 years of marriage together before his passing in 2012.

Throughout her life with Alfred, they raised five children in Dewey, OK before relocating in 1974 to Nowata, OK. They later built their dream home on the “3-L” farm in Nowata. She was a woman of many talents and wasn’t afraid to work whether it was, bookkeeping operating a business, working in the garden, or just lending a helping hand. Cora and Alfred owned and operated the Livingston Laundromat and she was a certified CNA for the Nowata Nursing Center for several years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and canning, sewing and crocheting, reading countless books, raising her minature donkeys and jersey cow, watching westerns, and siting on the porch enjoying her lake view. She especially enjoyed annual trips to Branson with her husband, his cousin Jimmy and wife Carolyn, his brothers Ronnie and wife Janice, David and wife Judy and who else decided to tag along. Cora loved her family unconditionally and truly enjoyed spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Livingston; parents: John and Grace Hash; siblings: Elizabeth Wilson, Pattie Leathers, Debbie Byfield, Clara Mae Buschmann, Hester Blackwell, James Riley Nash, John Franklin Hash Jr., Bennie Hash, Charles “Bud” Hash, Josephine Alberts; two grandchildren Sherman Owen and Greg Boyer.

Cora is survived by daughter Elizabeth, grand daughter Rita, great grandson Curtis Powell of the home plus four other children; Frank Livingston and wife Sylvia of Claremore, OK, Cynthia Owen and husband Scott of Bartlesville, OK, Jane Grissom and fiancé Steve Juby of Ochelata, OK, John Livingston and wife Jewell of Bartlesville, OK; siblings: Katherine Robinson of Montana, Carolyn Robinson of Montana, Hugh Hash of Nowata, ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be remembered by all as the sweetest soul that ever lived.
