Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555, -- Coy Odell Stanley, 94 year old well known Vinita Rancher and former owner of Stanley Equipment Company, passed away with his family by his side, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his home. He was born February 20, 1921 in Catale, Oklahoma to Ora and Loy (McCoy) Stanley. Coy served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Vinita and the Vinita Masonic Lodge. He also belonged to the Vinita American Legion Dale Peace Post #40 and the Akdar Shrine. Coy and Dorothy (Boyer) were married on August 28, 1976 in Vinita. He loved working cattle, driving his tractor and mowing pasture. He was also a Wall Street Investor. Coy has always had good cattle, raising Herefords and Red Angus. Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter, Kathy Sue McCaig, a step-son Bill Andrews and a sister Dorothy Stookey. The family includes; his wife Dorothy of the home, his children, Steve Stanley and wife Toni of Vinita, Pat Vernon and husband Ronnie of Mustang, Tom Stanley and wife Carla of Norman, Karen Long and husband John of Vinita, Bruce Prince of Vinita and Dick Andrews of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one sister, Frances Baber of Tulsa and a son in-law Mike McCaig of Booneville, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren and cousins Roger Morris and Shirley Youngblood. The family will receive friends from 4-5 PM Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral and Masonic Rites will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Wade Markham officiating. Interment and Military Rites will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Friends may give to PAAS or the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
