Daisy Evelyn Brown, 88-year-old former Nowata resident, passed away September 15, 1920 at the Bailey Medical Center in Owasso. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held at 2:00p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2008 in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Todd Brock officiating. Daisy Evelyn Brown was born September 15, 1920 in Pawhuska to Carl L. Hilburn and Myrtle Daisy McMullen-Hilburn. She grew up and attended schools in Nowata where she graduated with the Class of 1938. On June 8, 1943, she married Hubert Earl Brown. They lived in Cottage Grove, Oregon for 20 years while he was working for Wharehouser. Upon his retirement, they returned to Oklahoma where they have resided since. Mrs. Brown is survived by two sisters, Neva Hicks of Nowata and Nerine A. Kulchinski of Bartlesville; by nieces and nephews, Darryl and wife Paula Highfield of Owasso, Rita and husband Charlie Hemphill of Nowata, Gary and wife Judy Kulchinski of Nowata, David and wife Carol Kulchinski of Nowata, Alice and husband Bill Kirby of Talala, Ray and wife Jerri Kulchinski of Nowata, Peggy and husband Claude Rainwater of Nowata, Norma Wall of Claremore, Wanda and husband Steve Aymer of Nowata, Karl and wife Carolyn Middlebusher of Huntsville, Arkansas, Biff and wife Sue Middlebusher of Nowata, Jason and wife Nicole Middlebusher of Bartlesville, and Melinda Middlebusher of Copan; by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Hubert; by a sister, Violet and her husband Belford Middlebusher; by brothers-in-law, Paul Highfield and Otis Mithcell; and by a niece Linda Middlebusher.
