Daphna Huffman

Daphna C. Huffman, 87 year old Vinita resident, passed away, Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Craig General Hospital. She was born on November 26, 1927 in Bluejacket, to T. C. "Hop" and Mary (Ballard) Hanna. Daphna graduated from Vinita High School. She married Roy Huffman on July 19, 1957 in Miami. Daphna retired from Cinch Connectors, where she was a supervisor. She was a member of the Big Cabin Baptist Church. Daphna and Roy lived in Big Cabin until 2008 when they moved to Vinita. Together they had a thoroughbred race horse farm for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, decorating for the holidays, sports and most of all her grandkids. Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Gene Helm and his wife Carol, a grandson, Chell Kilpatrick and great-grandson, Dakota Helm; a sister Roberta Deacon. The family includes: husband Roy of the home, daughters, Lahona Young and husband Bob of Vinita, Mary Kilpatrick and husband Tim of Lenapah; a son, Don Huffman and wife Beverly of Billings, Montana; sisters, Willa Mae Frost and Wilma Woolman both of Vinita; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, with Rev. Leon Landrum officiating. Interment will follow at the Big Cabin Cemetery.
