Dave Terry Coble, longtime Jay resident, passed away early Thursday morning June 14, 2012, in Grove, Oklahoma. Dave was born in Jay, Oklahoma to his parents, Roy P. and Grace (Earp) Coble on February 6, 1938. Dave attended Jay schools and was a member of the 1955 graduating class from Jay High School. Dave loved and raised horses. He enjoyed horse racing as well as restoring classic cars in his spare time. He had many other hobbies including fishing, playing wahoo with friends, cooking fish, and watching OU and OSU football. Dave loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Junior; and his first wife, Marlene. He leaves many loving memories with his family; his wife, Liela; daughters, Michele Wilson and husband Greg, Marla Baker, Angie Coble, Kelly Caster, Colleen Smith and husband Wes, Diana McCleary and husband Charlie, Vicky Kahl and husband Randy; son, Scott Lawson and wife Cathy and beloved nephew Harland Coble and wife Angela; brothers, Joe Coble and wife Linda, Norman Coble and wife Pat; sisters, Irene Abercrombie and husband John, Louise Murphy and husband Carl. He was also survived by his grandchildren; Deidra, Lauren, Madison, Briana, Bryce, Haley, and Maegen along with numerous step-grandchildren and his mother-in-law Laura Loehr. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday June 18, 2012 at Mount Hermon Church in Jay, Oklahoma. Truman Brady will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hermon Cemetery.
