David Floyd Alexander, 82, a longtime Jay area resident passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. He was born on October 10, 1928 in Colbert, Oklahoma, he was the son of Homer and Lucille (Crabtree) Alexander. David was united in marriage to Anna Mayes on January 10, 1940 in Denison, Texas. David worked in the cattle industry. David was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings; Shorty Alexander, Glenn Alexander, and Mary Lou Alexander. He is survived by his wife Anna Alexander, daughter Debora White and her husband Rex, and son Lonny Alexander, one grandson Joshua White, brothers Wayne Alexander, DeWayne Alexander, Dale Alexander, Don Alexander, sisters Edna Sanner, Anna Carlson, and Daisy Basinger. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 both at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma.
