David Wayne Boone, passed away on March 15, 2020 in Vinita, OK. David was born on October 19, 1961 in Vinita, OK to Walter Boone and Kora Parks.
David attended schools in Vinita, Oklahoma and played Basketball and Football for the Hornets while in high school. David graduated from Vinita high school with the Class of 1980. He was of the Baptist faith and worshipped at Serenity Baptist Church. David loved fishing and would also coon hunt up until his father’s passing. He was a very funny man and at times thought he was a comedian, but was always known to put a smile on someone’s face. David had many hobbies and likes but he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family, friends and loved ones. His daughter Korynn always made him so happy and he would let everyone know how proud of her he was. If someone asked David what his job title was he would probably say something along the lines of a General Laborer but he was so much more than that, David helped people, he helped neighbors and anyone in need that he could throughout this community and would not expect payment in return. The last 10 years were spent working with Bill Gardner and assisting Bill will the day to day operations of B&J Mini Storage Units, Bill viewed David as a son. David will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Boone and Kora Parks, daughter, Lindsey Hodge, brother, Ronnie Mayhew and sister, Brenda Parks.
David is survived by his daughter, Korynn Boone of Miami, OK; brother, Darrell Parks of Vinita, OK; sister, Betty Parks of Ft. Smith, AR; 3 grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews and many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
