Tom Tanquary officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. David Ray Campbell, 65, of Nowata, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in Ochelata. He was born August 13, 1949 in Nowata to James David and Georgia (Lewis) Campbell. He was a 1967 graduate of Nowata High School. David worked in drywall construction as well as ranching for many years. On July 26, 1988 he married Sherry Williams in Dodge City, Kansas. They made their home in Nowata where they raised their family. He enjoyed team roping and working with cattle. He loved to refurbish old tractors and work around the ranch. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and family very much. He treasured the time he could take them skiing and tubing at the Lake. He very much loved being PaPa. David had many friends and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. David is survived by his wife Sherry of the home; six children, Valorie and her husband Ricky Cawyer of Claremore, Tammy Davis of Claremore, James Campbell and his wife Melissa of Nowata, Katie and her husband Justin Shipley of Delaware, Rebekah Campbell and her fiancé Rowdy Inman of Nowata, Julie Jo Campbell of Nowata; a sister, Cathy Malone of Nowata; ten grandchildren, Dakota Caudill, Abbie Caudill, Matthew Caudill, Emma Cawyer, Josh Davis, Dylan Davis, Ben Rice, Korbin Campbell, Cabel Campbell, Charlie Jule Shipley, and lots of other family. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Georgia Campbell; a sister, Francis Sanders; two step-dads, Charles Page and Bill Stith; a grandson, Blake Caudill.
