David Grass

David Wayne Grass, 62 year old, Jay, Oklahoma resident passed away, Friday, November 21, 2014 with his family by his side, following a long illness. David was born on December 21, 1951 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Smith and Anna (Gourd) Grass. He was the City of Jay water department for over three decades. David was an outdoorsman who loved to fish. He enjoyed watching sports, especially OU with his brother. David also enjoyed coin collecting and collected baseball cards his whole life. But above all David enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jess and Alfred. David is survived by his children, Cassandra Rodriguez and husband Oscar, of Decatur, Arkansas, Britney Hogshooter also of Decatur, Arkansas, and Nick Davis of Gravette, Arkansas, one brother, Stanley Grass of Jay, Oklahoma, two sisters Bobbie O'field of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Carol Sixkiller of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. David is also survived by his grandchildren, Anna, Marco, Maggie, Izabel, JR, Nick, Nevaeh, Eric, Makenna, Merrick, Malliya, Marriah, and a baby girl on the way…. As well as 18 nieces and nephews and a host of other family and close friends. Funeral services for David will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Round Springs Baptist Church in Eucha, Oklahoma, Interment will follow at Grass Cemetery. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday November 24, 2014 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma Notes of encouragement for the family may be left at www.honoringmemories.com Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
