Debra Young

Debra Kay Young, age 55 of Grand Tara, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. Debra was born in Oklahoma City on February 11, 1958 to Bill and Jean (Ivey) Lewis. She graduated from Edmond High School in 1976. On October 5, 1985 she was united in marriage to Mark Young. Debra was a very loving person with quite a green thumb, she could grow anything. For the past 12 years she proudly served as the president of the Grand Tara Homeowners Assoc. Survivors include her husband Mark Young of the home, parents Bill and Jean Lewis of Edmond, daughter Brandi Garver-Martin and husband Scott of Norman, gradchildren: Bree Garver, Bo Garver, and Lexie Garver, and siblings: Linda Brooks and husband David of Piedmont, Joann Stupanski and husband Rich, Vickie Lewis and husband Gordon, and Teri Huckaba and husband Kerry all of Edmond. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013at the Cleora Methodist Church with pastors Stephen Nation and David Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at McLaughlin Cemetery.
