Delbert Lee Reich went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2008. Delbert was born on July 31, 1928 at Alluwe, Oklahoma to Walter R. (Joe) and Ida Belle Foxworthy Reich. He lived his early years in Delaware, Oklahoma graduating from Delaware High School. While still in school he was employed by Boohers Market as a butcher and also delivered ice for them. After graduation, Delbert was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company where he worked in the blueprint department, in the refinery at Kansas City, then in Research and Development in Bartlesville, retiring in 1985 after 39 years of employment with Phillips. During his employment with Phillips he served two years with the Army in Germany during the Korean War and then with the Bartlesville Reserve Unit. He and Nancalene (Nancy) Long were married on February 5, 1955. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 2005. He was an active member of Hillside Christian Church for many years. Delbert was a "Jack-of-all-trades." He built his two homes, enjoyed model airplanes, photography, traveling in the RV, fishing, and especially tinkering with electronics. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ida Belle, his brothers Chester, Walter and Francis, his sisters Eppie Killingworth, Ida Mae Williamson, Thelma Gowen and Edith Sanders, and one granddaughter Lindsey Renee Rife. Delbert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancalene (Nancy), his son Greg Reich and his wife Teresa of Bartlesville, his daughter Kathy Rife of Bartlesville, 5 grandchildren Eric Reich and his wife Kay of Bartlesville, Brian Reich and his wife Jennifer of Mustang, Oklahoma, Josh Reich of Bartlesville, Christy Fees of Bartlesville, and Kelsey Rife of Bartlesville, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata, Oklahoma; John Presko and Ben Killion will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Home. Visitation for Mr. Reich will be from 12:00 to 5:00 Sunday, December 28, 2008 and 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 in the Benjamin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Delbert's name can be made to The Nowata City County Library or the 1033 Ambulance Service.
