Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinta (918) 256 - 5555 - - Deloris Lee Ayres, 87 year old Bluejacket resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Bluejacket. She was born on February 18, 1928 in Welch to John R. Spunaugle and Stella (Green) Spunaugle. After graduating from Welch High School, Deloris was married to Paul Truman Ayres on December 22, 1946 in Oswego, Kansas, Paul preceded her in death on June 6, 2014. They lived all their married life in the Bluejacket area and raised cattle on their farm. Deloris was an avid gardener, she really enjoyed her flowers, also enjoyed to cooking. She was a member of the Cowboy Junction Church in Vinita. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two sisters and a brother. The family includes: a son, Roger Ayres of Bluejacket, a daughter, Sherry Brock and husband John of Bluejacket; grandchildren, Paul Brian Heflin and wife Melissa of Adair, Shanese Pollard and husband Michael of Ft. Riley, Kansas and Tiffany Ayres of Bluejacket, great-granddaughters, Wacey Sewell and husband Rob of Verdigris and Tessa Dawn Pollard of Ft. Riley, Kansas; sister in-law, Alma Spunaugle of Vinita and brother in-law Jim Richards of Afton (Grand Lake). The funeral will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM, at the Bluejacket Baptist Church, with Pastor Henry "Skip" McClain officiating. Interment will follow at the Bluejacket Cemetery.
