Dewey Eugene Buck, 72-year-old Nowata resident, passed away at 2:50a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2007 at his home. Dewey Eugene Buck was born October 13, 1934 in Lymon, Oklahoma to Edward Dewey Buck and Nettie Olga Rogers-Buck. He attended schools in Nowata and went on to attend Coffeyville Community College where he also played football. He later married Marilyn Sue Hudson in Bentonville, Arkansas. Mr. Buck worked as a driller in the oil fields for many years. He was a man who loved to work. If he wasn't working in the oil fields, he was working on a project around the house. He was a jokester and story teller and he absolutely loved to bowl. Mr. Buck is survived by his wife Sue of the home; by three children, Jo Lynn Campbell and her husband R.B. of Nowata, Kelly Ann Krouse and her husband Johnny of Nowata, and Johnna Kay Bridges and her husband Dean of Nowata; by four sisters, Irene Stager of Nowata, Norma Wickliff of Dewey, Judy Anderson of Nowata, and Nadine Owens of Bartlesville; and by four grandchildren, Kayse Krouse, Josh Krouse, Brett Campbell, and Paige Bridges.
