Disney, OK - Dixie Jean Wiedenmann, 67, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 while in New Mexico. Dixie was born October 24, 1939 at Neosho, Missouri to Bailey Brown and Christine (McQuality) Brown. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was a 1957 graduate of Tulsa Will Rogers High School. Dixie attended one year of college at Long Beach State University. She married Phillip S. Wiedenmann over 30 years ago at Miami, Oklahoma. The couple resided in the Disney area of Grand Lake O' the Cherokees, where together, they owned and operated the Dam Hotel. Dixie was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Tulsa. She loved yard sales and "antiquing", or as she thought of it - searching to find treasures. Dixie and Phil also enjoyed many hours fishing together. Survivors are her husband, Phil of the home; three children, Christie Livingston of Disney, Oklahoma, Chris Wiedenmann of Edmond, Oklahoma and Doug Wiedenmann of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Gerry Ann Linker of Tulsa, Oklahoma and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a son, Steve Coleman. A memorial service is planned for, 11 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the Grand Crest Club House in Langley, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Children's Christian Fund, 1-800-776-6767, or left at Luginbuel's South Grand Lake Funeral Home, Langley.
