Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. . Dolly DeJarnette was born on December 29, 1929 in Miami, Oklahoma. Her father was Frank J. DeJarnette and grandfather George T. DeJarnette, her mother was Blanche Henrietta Lindsey Rutledge. Dolly had two sisters - a twin, Polly (deceased) and an older sister Patty, of Wakeeney Kansas. She graduated from Baxter Springs High School class of 1949 and was raised in the tri-state area of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Miami, Oklahoma, and Joplin, Missouri. Dolly married Sam Stenzel on December 24, 1950 in Wakeeney, Kansas and resided in Russell, Kansas for the majority of their marriage until they divorced in 1970. She is survived by her four children; three sons, Terry Stenzel of Salina, Kansas, Steve Stenzel and wife Bonnie, of Jay, Oklahoma, and Sam Stenzel of Santa Maria, California, one daughter, Andie DeJarnette Boyce and husband Scott, Pismo Beach, California, grandsons, Zach Stenzel and wife Jessica of Grove, Oklahloma, Ryan Stenzel of Stillwater, Oklahoma, granddaughters, Briana Keck and husband Robert of Salina, Kansas, Rebekah Stenzel of Jay, Oklahoma, Sarah Stenzel of Jay, Oklahoma, great grandchildren Chase and Chance Stenzel and Amara Keck, cousins Caroline Beauchamp of Miami, Oklahoma, her daughters Sara and Jan and their families and her cousin Eddie Rutledge of Spokane, Washington. Dolly was a free spirit with a sunny bubbly personality who never met a stranger that didn't become an instant friend. She always danced to the beat of a different drummer and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved trees, wearing french berets, taking roadtrips to the Ozarks, and collecting antiques ... but above all she loved her beloved dogs Perry the samoyed, her husky Jontue and her big fluffy spotted mix Domino among others, including Honey the blue healer, Caribou the malamute, Kaniki the keeshound and Princess the siamese cat.
