Donald Miller

Grove - Donald Andriole Miler, age 68, died October 6, 2008 at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma Donald was born on November 19, 1939 in Perry, Oklahoma to Ester Miller. His grandparents Elsea and William Penn Miller of the Hickory Grove Community adopted Don as an infant. He was the "apple of his Grandma's eye". At the age of 16, Don enlisted into the Navy and finished his education. After 20 years of service he retired in 1976 to the reserves until 1986. Don's first marriage ended by blessed him with a much loved daughter Donna. Don eventually moved back to live where he was raised and had walked to school as a child with the girl that became his wife Kathleen Tipton. Don was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and a stepson Phillip Jones of Ava, Missouri. He is survived a daughter Donna Cooper and her husband Randy , their son Josh and one granddaughter Stephanie Dee Pee all of Cresent City, California. His brothers William Penn Miller of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, Everett Miller of Phoenix City, Alabama and Leland Miler of Hazelwood, Missouri. He leaves his wife Kathleen Martin-Miller of the home, seven step-children who loved and will miss him dearly. Kenny Martin and his family of Branson, Missouri, Shirley Cox and her family of Cabool, Missouri, Gail, David and Kelli Martin and their families all of Aurora, Missouri, Marlin Martin of Springfield, Missouri and Kevin Martin and his children of Ozark, Missouri; thirty grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Don was a loving husband, father, step-father and grandfather whom will never be forgotten. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma, with full military honors. Serving as casket bearers will be Kenny Martin, David Martin, Marlin Martin, Matthew Martin, Shawn Reeves, Darrell Christensen, Shane Wood, Craig Cox and honorary casket bearer Kevin Martin.
