Donald G. Dodd, age 77, died on April 3, 2011 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Don was born on May 20, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in Saint Anthony's Hospital. Don was the son of Alvin and Marjorie (Ogee) Dodd. Don proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Hertz Rent-A-Car for sixteen years. Don also worked at the Jay Walmart; he was the chaplain for the American Legion Post #195 in Jay, Oklahoma. Don enjoyed restoring tractors, tinkering around with cars, hunting and fishing. Don attended the New Hope Baptist church. Don was united in marriage to Dena on December 18, 1981. Don was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Dena Dodd, his only grandson is J.W Luman., Daughter Beverly and son-in-law, James Luman, of Arkansas; Son William Dodd of Bedfore TX. Step daughter, Kimberly & Step son-in-law Stephen Vessel, of Kansas,Ok. Step grandsons Jed & Josh Patrum, of Alabama, Step granddaughter Haylee Pike, of Houston, TX, great granddaughter Chloe & Katelyn, his brother BL Dodd and his wife Bess from El Paso Texas. He was loved by many. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers will be members of the American Legion Post #195 of Jay, Oklahoma Patrick Cordell, John Stevenson, David Dunham, Robert Lawson, Woody Wilson and Bob Eppard. Honorary casket bearers will be Mark Berry, Josh Patrum, Jed Patrum, Stephen Vessel and David Hammond.
