Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Donald "Donnie" Edward Hale, 66, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Integris Grove Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Donnie was born on September 25, 1950 in Trieste, Italy. He was the son of Charles Hale and Liliana (Gabre) Hale. Donnie graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Donnie proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and then earned his Bachelors degree in Science from Oklahoma State University. Donnie was a very well-known and respected educator, football and wrestling coach for many years; he coached both for the Locust Grove Pirates and the Jay Bulldogs. Donnie was an avid outdoorsman; his hobbies included hunting, fishing and gigging. He enjoyed spending time and aggravating his family and friends and was always ready to support his alma mater, OSU - Go Pokes!! Donnie was preceded in death by his father and one sister Charlene Jackson. He is survived by his wife Neothia (Rogers) Hale of the home, four children Robert Rogers and his wife Chelesa of Jay, Oklahoma, Zach Hale and his wife Ariadne of Norman, Oklahoma, Terra Gibson and her husband JR of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Nikki Hale-Smith and her husband Steven of Jay, Oklahoma. Donnie was blessed with seven grandchildren Kyla Rogers, Clinton Rogers, Megan Gibson, Molly Gibson, Ziya Hale, Milania Smith and Adalyn Smith. Donnie leaves behind his mother Liliana Hale, his sister Diona Hale of Mannford, Oklahoma and his brother Ronnie Hale and his wife Nancy of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Donnie will be greatly missed by his nine nieces and nephews, Remington Rogers, Parker Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Jennifer Ballard, Amanda Gilligan, Joshua Jackson, Carley Hughes, Claudia Jackson and Jessica Drum. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Robinette Family Event Center Outdoor Pavilion, in Jay, Oklahoma.
