Donald Keith Hodges, age 83, died on Sunday October 24, 2010 at the Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Oklahoma. Donald was born on September 5, 1927 in Hugoton, Kansas. He was the son of Asa Lawson and Hazel Marie (Hampton) Hodges. Donald proudly served in the United States Navy as a Fireman First Class. He was united in marriage to Peggy Nixon on January 5, 1947 in Liberal, Kansas. Donald was an owner / operator of an Auto Body repair business. Donald has been a resident of Grove for the past 24 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting pheasant and was an excellent bowler, winning many trophies, and bowling a perfect game twice. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Diana K. (Hodges) McBryde, and a grandson James D. Mosburg. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Peggy Hodges, a son Terry W. Hodges, daughter Cheri L. Mosher, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. He also is survived by three siblings, Gene (Ace) Hodges, Roy D. Hodges and Vera M. Wilson. A visitation will be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home chapel with Ben Hynum officiating. Donald will be laid to rest at the Hickory Grove Cemetery immediately following.
