Donald Kemper

Donald Willis Kemper, 83, died at his home in Jay, Oklahoma on November 8, 2008. He was born October 24, 1925 in Lingle, Wyoming to Willis and Violet Kemper. He served in the United States Army during WWII, and was stationed in the Philippines after completing basic training. He married Lillian Farewell August 3, 1946 in Lynn, MA, and then moved to Wyoming, where he lived most of his life. He was active in the Torrington VFW, where he held the office of Post Commander from 1968 thru 1969. He retired from the United Sates Postal System after 34 years. He enjoyed painting and spending time with his family. Don was preceded in death by his wife Lillian, and grandson Kelly Heil. He is survived by his children Donald Jr. (Anne) of Wisconsin, Gary (Elaine) of Oklahoma, Lynn (Judy) of Nebraska, Barbara (James) Dunn of Wyoming, and Janet (Ron) Vick of Nebraska; and 12 other grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
